Regression models with both high-dimensional responses and covariates have attracted growing attention. Standard multivariate regression models become inadequate when the response variables depend not only on observed covariates but also on latent variables that capture key unobserved characteristics. To draw statistical inferences on covariate effects while accounting for latent variables, we consider a high-dimensional generalized latent variable model that accommodates mixed-type responses and allows for flexible dependence between covariates and latent variables, which is more suitable for many real-world applications than existing methods that either rely on a linear regression form or restricted assumptions on the dependence between covariates and latent variables. We develop an alternating algorithm that iteratively updates the regression parameters and the latent variables, transforming an intractable nonconvex problem into a sequence of tractable convex subproblems. Theoretically, we provide algorithmic guarantees by establishing statistical consistency of the resulting estimator and deriving an error bound for it. Further, building on this estimator, we construct a debiased estimator for the covariate effect and establish its asymptotic normality. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through an application to evaluating the fairness of the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA).

Conditional distribution equality testing is a core problem with applications in causal inference, model diagnostics, and transfer learning. Existing methods often lose power when the conditioning variable is high-dimensional. We propose a new test that leverages generative models to compare conditional distributions using both observed data and synthetic samples. A sample-splitting and studentization scheme is introduced to control estimation error. Under the null, the test…
结合 model-X knockoffs 与 p 值的高维线性模型 FDR 控制
We propose a novel multiple testing methodology for controlling the false discovery rate (FDR) in high-dimensional linear models that integrates model-X knockoff techniques with debiased penalized regression estimators. At the foundation of our methodology, we construct and study two sets of naturally paired high-dimensional test statistics and the associated $p$-values for evaluating the same null hypotheses. The first set is shown to be asymptotically mutually independent,…
基于广义逆距离权重的GNAR模型改进多元时间序列预测
Many multivariate time series arise on networks where relationships between variables depend on physical or more general distances. Standard vector autoregressive models struggle in such settings due to their quadratic parameter growth, while generalised network autoregressive (GNAR) models offer a parsimonious alternative by explicitly incorporating network structures. Existing GNAR formulations assume fixed weights, typically uniform or reciprocal distances, which may not…
多元Lévy自适应B样条回归
We propose Multivariate Lévy Adaptive B-Spline Regression (MLABS), a Bayesian nonparametric regression model designed to capture nonlinear effects, interactions, and locally varying features of multivariate functions. MLABS represents the regression function as a random sum of low-order tensor-product B-spline basis functions under a finite Lévy random measure prior. The resulting representation adapts to the complexity and local structure of the regression function while…

Abstract We develop a convex-analytic framework for constructing and analyzing a broad class of penalized estimators. Our method defines penalized estimators by applying proximal operators to benchmark estimators, rather than by penalizing the benchmark criterion itself. We establish general finite-sample properties, derive unified asymptotic distribution results, and provide tractable conditions for oracle selection and oracle asymptotic efficiency. We then apply the…
组间不平衡下的风险异质性稳健推断
Population-level heterogeneity is ubiquitous in biomedical data, where differences across demographic or clinical subgroups can substantially alter risk patterns. For example, in intensive care unit (ICU) studies, the mortality risk associated with specific admission diagnoses can vary across ethnic groups. Existing approaches for detecting risk heterogeneity are often sensitive to baseline model misspecification and regularization bias, both of which commonly arise in…
