Estimating Regression Parameters in an Extended Proportional Odds Model

扩展比例优势模型中的回归参数估计

The proportional odds model may serve as a useful alternative to the Cox proportional hazards model to study association between covariates and their survival functions in medical studies. In this article, we study an extended proportional odds model that incorporates the so-called "external" time-varying covariates. In the extended model, regression parameters have a direct interpretation of comparing survival functions, without specifying the baseline survival odds…

A Weighted Estimating Equation for Missing Covariate Data with Properties Similar to Maximum Likelihood

具有类似最大似然性质的缺失协变量加权估计方程

In regression analysis, missing covariate data occurs often. A recent approach to analyzing such data is weighted estimating equations. With weighted estimating equations, the contribution to the estimating equation from a complete observation is weighted by the inverse probability of being observed. In this article we propose a weighted estimating equation that is almost identical to the maximum likelihood estimating equations. As such, we propose an EM-type algorithm to…

A Semiparametric Method of Multiple Imputation

一种半参数多重插补方法

Summary In this paper, we describe how to use multiple imputation semiparametrically to obtain estimates of parameters and their standard errors when some individuals have missing data. The methods given require the investigator to know or be able to estimate the process generating the missing data but requires no full distributional form for the data. The method is especially useful for non-standard problems, such as estimating the median when data are missing.

Analysis of Semiparametric Regression Models for Repeated Outcomes in the Presence of Missing Data

缺失数据下重复结局半参数回归模型的分析

We propose a class of inverse probability of censoring weighted estimators for the parameters of models for the dependence of the mean of a vector of correlated response variables on a vector of explanatory variables in the presence of missing response data. The proposed estimators do not require full specification of the likelihood. They can be viewed as an extension of generalized estimating equations estimators that allow for the data to be missing at random but not…

Estimation of Regression Coefficients When Some Regressors are not Always Observed

部分回归变量并非始终可观测时的回归系数估计

In applied problems it is common to specify a model for the conditional mean of a response given a set of regressors. A subset of the regressors may be missing for some study subjects either by design or happenstance. In this article we propose a new class of semiparametric estimators, based on inverse probability weighted estimating equations, that are consistent for parameter vector α0 of the conditional mean model when the data are missing at random in the sense of Rubin…

Multivariate Mean Parameter Estimation by Using a Partly Exponential Model

利用部分指数模型估计多元均值参数

SUMMARY A class of partly exponential models is proposed for the regression analysis of multivariate response data. The class is parameterized in terms of the response mean and a general shape parameter. It includes the generalized linear error model and exponential dispersion models as special cases. Maximum likelihood equations for mean parameters are shown to be of the same form as certain generalized estimating equations, and maximum likelihood estimates of mean and…

Correlated Binary Regression Using a Quadratic Exponential Model

利用二次指数模型分析相关二元响应

A model of quadratic exponential form is parameterized in terms of marginal means and pairwise correlations for the regression analysis of correlated binary data. Pseudo-maximum likelihood methods using a special case termed the multiplicative model are proposed, but are noted to be computationally unattractive if the ‘blocks’ of correlated responses are at all large. On the other hand score estimating functions for mean and correlation parameters are shown to be of a…
